Job Description

All candidates will learn CT on a State of the Art CT Scanner while working in a newly remodeled Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Wickenburg Community Hospital is looking for Per Diem Radiological Technologists to join our award winning Medical Imaging Department.  The Imaging Department is a team of exceptional, high quality technologists that take pride in their profession.  It's a team that always goes the extra mile to make sure the patient, family and provider are taken care. This position performs high quality medical imaging studies on patients as prescribed by the provider to facilitate in the diagnosis of the patient. In addition the Radiology Technologist reviews studies for clarity and accuracy, and may take additional imaging to assist the Radiologist.  Other duties involve office, non-office and file functions to maintain an efficient office and hospital environment for patient, family and physician needs.  

This position will require 3 to 4 months of full time training Monday through Friday to learn IT systems, protocols and processes. After completion of the training the applicant will work on a per diem basis where hours will be scheduled to cover needs within the department. Per Diem shifts are12 hour shifts both days and evenings seven days a week.  The position is a multi-modality position where on a daily basis the technologist will perform exams in Diagnostic Radiography, CT, BMD, Fluoroscopy, C-Arm Procedures and Portable Exams.

 

Skills / Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school program in Radiological Technology
  • CPR at time of hire or within 3 months
  • HIPPA training at time of hire or within 3 months 
  • Current Flu vaccination
  • A minimum of 3 year of continuous experience in XR 
  • CT experience is not required but those candidates without experience in CT need to demonstrate a desire and willingness to go over and above to learn new skills in order to further their career.
  • Registered in RT with ARRT.
  • Must have availability 7 days a week to cover all shifts. 
  • Must have Arizona state licensure through the MRTBE in Radiography.
