Job Description

The CMA Lead assists the Physician and mid-level Providers by rooming patients, taking phone calls, performing back office procedures as needed and interacting with staff and patients. Work closely with Administrative staff on needs and daily functions of the Clinic.

Skills / Requirements

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare patient for exam
  • Take Vitals
  • Answer and triage phone calls from patients
  • Documentation in EHR
  • Administer medication/injection
  • Maintain patients confidentiality
  • Call prescriptions to pharmacy
  • Assist provider as needed
  • Oversee inventory of medical supplies and equipment
  • Assist in chart documentation for quality purposed to ensure that provider
  • coding and documentation matching
  • Maintain all QA/QC checks on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on
  • all medical equipment, medications, as well as In-House back office procedure
  • lab testing when appropriate
  • Assist with administrative assignments as needed
  • Oversee the daily functions of the Clinic

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required,
  • Certified Medical Assistant, CCMA or Registered MA is a required
  • Recent experience working in a providers office
  • Must have 1 or more years of experience as a CMA or Registered MA
  • 1 or more years of Supervisor or Lead experience as a CMA or Registered MA is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Phlebotomy
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
