General Description

The Manager of Development is a key member of Wickenburg Community Hospital Foundation team, working collaboratively with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to meet the ambitious fundraising and program goals of the Foundation. The Manager of Development performs a variety of duties and functions including, but not limited to, the development of monthly and employee giving programs, maintenance of the Foundation’s donor database, and stewardship efforts. This position will also contribute to marketing and communications, email campaigns, direct-mail campaigns, website maintenance, collateral production, grant writing and fundraising events. 

Essential Job Duties

  • Maintain the Foundation’s customer relationship management system, currently DonorView, including accurate entry, advanced reports, and integrated communication options
  • Coordinate annual and employee giving efforts through mailings, social media, events, targeted appeals, email, and other innovative techniques that can attract a diverse range of donors
  • Develop and nurture donor relationships in a proactive and engaging manner
  • Assist the Executive Director in managing a pipeline of donors to welcome Foundation supporters at every level and further leverage their generosity
  • Work as part of a small close- knit team to establish fundraising strategies and accomplish fundraising goals
  • Partner with Executive Director and Foundation Board to engage donors through events and presentations
  • Demonstrate the ability to use sound judgement and discretion regarding confidential information 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail 
  • Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders

Pink Ribbon Angels Duties

  • Work with the Foundation and Hospital to increase awareness of Pink Ribbon Angels program services among care providers and potential recipients
  • Solidify relationships- including outreach and marketing for program expansion
  • Collaborate with Hospital billing, patient access, and pathology and surgical associates to ensure PRA patients receive services efficiently
  • Create memos of understanding with various organizations to provide diagnostics at competitive price points for PRA patients

Other (Non-Essential) Duties

  • Participate in event planning and execution
  • Identify problems as they arise and work with Executive Director to establish a solution
  • Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: ability to create excel workbooks, manage donor databases and create presentations.
  • Must be able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some marketing experience preferred. 
  • Previous fundraising experience preferred
  • Previous health care experience preferred
  • Database management experience
  • Demonstrated organization and administration skills

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting; must be able to stand/walk for most of the workday; heavy lifting, must be able to lift packages up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work paying close attention to detail with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment
  • Some evenings and weekends will be required.
