Job Description

The Information Systems Manager is under the direction of the CIO and manages the day to day operations of the Information Systems Department.  As a member of the leadership team, the ISM is responsible for technical and organizational management  of  all Information Systems in the facility, including software and hardware systems, user support and education, application and database development and analysis, telephony, network infrastructure and security.

Manages and directs:

  • Computer operations and management
  • Telephone systems and communication lines
  • Hardware Installation and repair
  • User support
  • Software Licensing
  • Application interfaces and integration
  • Systems access security and management of appropriate use
  • Network Infrastructure
  • Cyber Security
  • Selects and Coordinates purchases through materials management
  • Cascade used computers to users within facility
  • Keep facility current on necessary updates and software changes
  • Staff education in computer skills and application utilization
  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities of the IS staff and executes their performance review.

Other (Non-essential) Duties:

  • When available, provides after hours support if critical issues threaten the essential functioning of the computer system.   
  • Experience working with a variety of software vendors including experience with contracts, licensing and support of those products.

MINIMUM Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Computer Science or Related Field.  
  • Microsoft, Cisco, or equivelent certifications
  • Must have 3 to 5 years of experience directing and managing Information System organizations.
  • Demonstrate skills in computer operations, software/hardware diagnosis, repair, user support, network management and cyber security.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, leadership and decision making skills. 
  • Demonstrate ability to manage projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous Information Systems experience in Hospital setting is preferred
  • Experience with MS Office 365 is preferred

Physical Requirements/Working conditions:

  • Occasional standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting; must be able to stand/walk for up to 50% of the work day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally. 
  • In proximity of healthcare area where there is exposure to communicable diseases and viruses. 
  • Must be able to work paying close attention to detail with frequent interruptions.
